Course Description
Language use is universal in that it enables daily communication, yet the ways speakers encode meaning can vary greatly across languages. This course offers a comparative analysis of English and Japanese, focusing on differences in lexical and grammatical systems as well as meaning in context. Students will develop an understanding of key concepts in semantics and pragmatics through the examination of representative examples from both languages.
TOEFL ITP 505以上
TOEFL iBT 60以上
TOEIC 580以上
IELTS 5.0

CEFR B1
