授業概要 / Course Description
This lecture intends to explain major Japanese companies' corporate systems, industrial organization, and global management strategies. This class discusses the Japanese economy and companies' current and future perspectives. What is the fundamental source of Japanese companies' competitiveness? What is the unique corporate structure and culture that remained substantially unchanged for a long time? This lecture also intends to explain the current picture of global competition through managers' knowledge and companies' strategies for advancing global competition covering various types of Japanese companies and industries (fast fashion, automobile, mobility platform, cosmetics, and food).
The medium of teaching language is English with infrequent use of Japanese, when necessary. Every lecture ends with a group discussion, in which Japanese students are invited to discuss the current issues related Japanese company and management.

・本科⽬は、⼊学時及び2年進級時に受験しているプレースメントテスト(GTECまたはTOEFL ITP)のスコアを利⽤し、履修者が定員を超過した場合は上記スコア要件に合致していない学⽣から優先的に削除されます。本科⽬の受講を希望しており、GTEC受験以降に上記のスコアに相当する語学⼒を取得した者は、事後抽選⽇の2⽇前(⼟⽇祝⽇を除く)までに各種テストの証明書コピーを国際教育⽀援室まで提出してください。また、スコア要件に合致している学⽣で定員を超過した場合は、無作為抽選となります。
・上記スコアを所持していない学⽣は、先に留学準備スキルアップ科⽬を修得する等、CEFR B1以上の取得を⽬指してください。到達目標 / Course Objectives
