授業概要 / Course Description
In this course, students will learn about different types of presentations and the basic skills required to give a presentation. The 3 main components of giving a presentation are physical skills, the visual aspect and the structure of the presentation. This course will use information from the Speaking of Speech textbook to teach these three key features of how to give a professional presentation.
The presentation skills will be put into practice through student projects on various interesting topics and by the end of this course every student will have given an individual and group presentation.
授業は全て英語で行われます。履修する学生は以下の語学力（相当）を必要とします：
GTEC 180以上260未満
TOEFL ITP 430以上505未満
TOEFL iBT 40以上60未満
TOEIC 375以上580未満
IELTS 4.5
英検準２級および2級
CEFR A2-B1
・本科目は、入学時及び２年進級時に受験しているプレースメントテスト（GTECまたはTOEFL ITP）のスコアを利用し、履修者が定員を超過した場合は上記スコア要件に合致していない学生から優先的に削除されます。本科目の受講を希望しており、GTEC受験以降に上記のスコアに相当する語学力を取得した者は、事後抽選日の2日前（土日祝日を除く）までに各種テストの証明書コピーを国際教育支援室まで提出してください。また、スコア要件に合致している学生で定員を超過した場合は、無作為抽選となります。
・上記スコア以上を取得している場合は、ぜひさらなるレベル向上を目指してModule1~8を履修してください。なお履修に困った場合は、国際教育支援室に相談してください。
This class will adopt an eight-week COIL project (Collaborative Online International Learning), in which students will connect online with students from Seneca College in Canada, to work collaboratively to complete a project on SDGs. COIL aims to provide learning opportunities for students to gain desirable employability qualities, such as intercultural competency, digital literacy, leadership skills, etc.

本科目は「COIL（Collaborative Online International Learning：海外との協働学習）」を取り入れる場合があります。COILでは海外の学生とオンラインで繋がり、チームプロジェクト等を通して協働学習を行います。COILを実践することで、異文化理解力、デジタルリテラシー、リーダーシップ力等これからのグローバル人材が必要とされる能力の向上を目的としています。

Ability to plan, organize, and deliver different types of oral presentations;
Ability to present persuasive arguments;
Awareness of body language and clarity in speaking for effective presentations;
Mastery of techniques for designing effective digital presentations, such as PowerPoint;

Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL), a type of virtual exchange or telecollaboration, is a learning process where faculty members in any discipline use online technology to facilitate sustained student collaboration to increase intercultural competence.
